Isuzu D-Max dashcam hardwire fuse guide (Australia)
Isuzu D-Max (3rd gen RG, 2020+). The interior fuse table labels circuits (ACC) and (+B) outright, which makes this one of the better-documented entries. Meter before trusting any of it.
Core fields known: 4/4 (✓ Box location · ✓ Fuse type · ✓ Switched (ACC) slot · ✓ Constant slot). Known doesn't mean verified. See the evidence badges below.
Fuse box location and type
Location: Cabin box under the driver-side dash behind a removable plastic panel. This source covers D-Max 2011-2022, so confirm on an RG. [2] Reference table
Engine-bay box is separate.
Fuse type: Mini (the table lists every fuse, interior and engine bay, as 'Fuse MINI'). [1] Reference table
Scope of this data: Fuse table is for the 2020 RG. Box location source covers D-Max 2011-2022 (older generation too). Later model years not separately checked.
Constant (always-on) fuse candidates
Battery-direct slots: 12V with the ignition off. Use for the camera’s parking-mode (BATT) wire. Candidates only. Meter each one.
| Slot | Rating | Label | Evidence | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| #33 ROOM(+B) | 5A | ROOM(+B) | Reference table | Interior lights on battery feed. Low-risk constant candidate. [1] |
| #27 AUDIO(+B) | 15A | AUDIO(+B) | Reference table | Audio on battery feed. Use a small fuse in the tap. [1] |
| #39 ACC SOCKE(+B) | 15A | ACC SOCKE (+B) | Reference table | Accessory socket on +B, so the socket is always live. Don't mix it with an ACC tap in the same slot. [1] |
(+B) is the battery-direct label in this table.
Ignition / ACC (switched) fuse candidates
Slots that read 0V with the ignition off and ~12V when it’s on. Candidates only. Meter each one.
| Slot | Rating | Label | Evidence | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| #38 AUDIO(ACC) | 5A | AUDIO(ACC) | Reference table | Audio-only supply with ACC in the label. Best-looking switched candidate. [1] |
| #37 KEY INT LOCK (ACC) | 5A | KEY INT LOCK (ACC) | Reference table | ACC label but it's a key interlock, so prefer #38. [1] |
| #31 ELEC(ACC) | 5A | ELEC(ACC) | Reference table | Table says 'protects several circuits', so avoid. [1] |
'(ACC)' in the table is Isuzu's own label for the circuit. Still unverified on a real truck.
Slots to avoid
- SRS(IG1), ABS(IG1), EPS(IG1), ENGINE(IG1), STOP(+B), STEREO CAMERA (+B), STRG LOCK (+B), CGW/WAM and BCM BATT slots.
Gotchas for this vehicle
How to verify before you tap (generic)
- Find the fuse box and its cover diagram. Use a multimeter or test light, with the black lead on bare chassis metal.
- Test both contacts on the top of each candidate fuse. Constant: 12V+ with the ignition off. Switched (ACC): 0V with the ignition off, 12V+ with the ignition on. Check again after the car has been locked a few minutes: some circuits stay live briefly.
- Don't put the ACC and constant wires in the same fuse slot. Use a fuse in the tap that suits the camera (typically 3–5A), and keep the tap the right way round so the fuse is fed from the supply side.
- Earth the black wire to a clean bare chassis bolt. Cable-tie the tap and wiring so nothing rattles loose.
- Check the dashcam on and off, and after the car sleeps. Look for warning lights, and for the vehicle waking or draining.
Generic method per the BlackVue hardwire kit manual and the BlackboxMyCar guide. Not specific to this vehicle.

Why this confidence rating? A full AU-listed fuse table with explicit ACC and +B labels and fuse type. But it's a third-party transcription, nobody has meter-tested it, and the box location comes from an older-generation video.
Unverified leads. Don't rely on these.
